  • What You’ll Learn:

    • Collage Techniques: Master Laura Heine’s method of layering and fusing fabrics for intricate designs.
    • Fabric Selection: Learn to choose and combine fabrics for depth and visual interest.

    • Fusing Methods: Proper use of fusible web products like Steam-A-Seam 2.

    A Teeny Tiny Fox Kit (with curated fabrics for this design) is available for purchase if you prefer a ready-to-use selection.

    2. Foundation & Background

    • Pattern Ease or Pellon 830 — ½ yard
    • Background fabric — ½ yard

    Some kits include background fabric depending on the version.

    3. Adhesives

    • Steam-A-Seam 2 (NOT Lite) — 3–4 yards

    Kits may include a starter amount, but it’s recommended to bring extra.

    4. Fabrics

    Bring a variety of scraps, fat eighths, and small-scale prints ideal for fussy cutting.

No. The $120 USD fee covers Donna’s professional instruction only. You’ll need to bring your own materials and tools, or purchase them from our store.

What will I create in this class?

You’ll complete a 16" x 20" Teeny Tiny Fox fabric collage, which can be displayed as a wall hanging, used as a quilt topper, or turned into a decorative pillow cover.

Will I finish the project in one day?

Yes! Most students complete their collage in the single-day session. If you need extra time, you may return at $25 USD per hour to finish your project.

How many students are in the class?

This is a one-on-one class, giving you Donna’s full attention and personalized instruction throughout the day.

I don’t have a sewing machine. Can I still take the class?

Absolutely! A sewing machine isn’t required for the collage portion. If you want to quilt or bind your piece, machines are available for rent at $10 USD per hour.
